Hiya Ive got 2 Oustalet chameleons and was just wondering how rare are they to get hold of? As I have some people say they are easy to get hold of whilst others say they are really hard??? Also if they arent rare how come there isnt any care sheets written for them online?:eek::eek::confused:

WHAT!!! would you like to know...I raise them(on and off for about 10 years) ,I've bred them, I have just hatched out #38 of them so far this year...They are not very popular because they are not "Pretty Boys" and thats being honest!!! But I love-um to death!!!!!! If you want a big semi-easy going chameleon that doesn't require the humidity of a more tropical lizard, will eat just about anything, an Oustalet is your chameleon...

They are cheap to import because the people want colors - and pardalis or lateralis have much more of it. It's no easy to get juveniles, not here in Europe not over the ocean.
Again the same reason: Only really idealistic people breed them - the juveniles are eating monsters but you won't get much money for them. So if you get juveniles you can be sure that you get them from a real oustaleti lover ;)
