How old is this guy?

Sorry if I posted this in the incorrect thread, I wasn't sure where else to direct the question...

I'm a first time Chameleon owner but I have owned other reptiles before and I recently acquired a Jackson's Chameleon from a Reptile Expo. His name is Davinci, and it would be cool to know a estimate of his age.

I also have a couple of jacksons. They are so cool aren't they? Well judgeing by how big he is comparied to your fingers and the size of his horns I would say anywhere between nine months to a year. Just remember jacksons love LOTS of water and mine go crazy for hornworms.

Thank you!

I had no idea he was that hold. How much should he eat? I given him some roaches that he seemed to like those.

It is hard to guess the age of a chameleon. My guess would be 1+ years old (he could easily be 2 or 3 years). If you know his local that would help at more accurately guessing his age.

If he cup feeds put a dozen or so insects into the cup and see how many he eats in an hour or 2. That should give you an idea of how much to feed him daily.

Your welcome:D As far as feeding him he should be eating medium sized crix and roaches. Try throwing some in, like 5 at a time, and see how long it takes him to eat them. Good Luck:D

Also as far as his age what I said(around a year old) is the youngest he could be. Maurer3D is right he could be much older but I doubt he would be more than 2 or 3 years old.
