How often do Veileds drink in the wild?

I have been really thinking about this lately. Alot of people say veileds aren't big drinkers. We mist them 2-3 times a day but they rarely drink 2-3 times a day. We also leave the dripper on for them and they don't always show interest. Surely if they was thirsty they would drink it? So my question is how often do they actually drink in the wild? How often is water around for them?

I would think; only when it rains. I give mine water with a dropper and he drinks just about daily and sometimes twice a day. Even tho I use a dropper, I still mist and have a dripper. Jann

I would like to assume in the wild the morning dew probably catches their eye...

Veileds and most chameleons will drink when it rains but also in the early morning when dew has formed on leaves and plants. Most chameleons live naturally in areas where there is plenty of water but if there is high humidity and not tons of rainfall then there will be plenty of dew formed in the early hours of the day for them.

Yeah I take it, it isn't so much rain but the dew in the mornings then?
