Bottom line how much foliage/plant life is too much in a cage?
I have a small flapneck cham in a small screened cage (2' r-zilla). My 1st ficus benji lost most of it's leaves so I bought a new braided ficus today. Currently I have both plants in the cage because the new plant is too tall, so I positioned it in the right corner of the cage, and used the old plant in the middle/left (under the lamp). I didn't want my cham to hang out at the top of the new plant and get burned by the lamp... my cage is pretty packed w/plants now and I'm worried that I won't be able to keep a good eye on my cham's health and he may not be able to find his cricket bowl... FYI – I have searched every nursery in a 50 mi radius for a good (small) plant w/no results. Any tips on the right amount of plants in a cage? Thanks.
