Hello everyone!!! I would like to know how much and how often to feed a 7mnth female. My reason for asking is to keep her from egg production till she is ready to breed.

Judging by her colors she is receptive right now but most people like to wait until they are around 60 grams before they breed. Pretty girl. I think you would be safe feeding her around 6 appropriate feeders every other day or equivalent to and maybe give her a treat or two on the off days since she is still a little young.

Very pretty looking female.

I also agree with 5-6 every few days, or 2-3 per day.

IMO overfeeding has more to do with egg production than temperature based on my experience so you are asking the right question.

Doing this, I have prevented a lot of my females that I keep as pets (no breeding) from laying eggs for over 16 months. I think Sandrachameleon has prevented hers from laying for up to 18 months if I'm not mistaken?

If you overfeed them & keep them too hot, they'll lay as early as 6 or 7 months.

Also it is well established that if they do not have any visual contact with a male, it will also help prevent egg production.

(PS I agree with the above statement that she looks receptive)
