My panther chameleon is currently 6 months old and is in a 2 foot width, 2 foot length and 3 foot high.

What age roughly would his cage need moving up to 4 foot high?

Well since hes already in a larger cage than a typical baby cage, he could stay in the cage he is in for another few months. its really not the age of your cham that matters, its his size.

How big is he from nose to vent?

He's about 5-6 inches. About the size of a standard tea spoon.

You could change his cage now, you dont have to right this second. maybe when he hist 9-10-11 monhts old, or if you have the money, just go ahead and do it now.

yeah, you can change the cage at whatever point you want now. he will probabley be happier in the bigger cage though. it'll just give him more climbing space.
