How do you put an egg through dispause?

i herd of people doing it and there eggs heatching in 5 months and i want to put my eggs in dispause but how do i do it? my female laid her first clutch last night at around 11:00-12:00 and its my first ever clutch and anyways any info is appreciated thanks

diapause is the phase when the egg is kind of like hibernating and warmer temperatures provoke the fetus to end diapuse and start developing. for panthers i think the best you can expect is to get the eggs to hatch in about 6 months. there are plenty of posts in this forum and info on the web that gives the incubation temperatures to achieve this. do some research and figure out what would work best for you - there are many different methods.

Why do you want your eggs to hatch in five months.? Shouldn't you want them to incubate as long as possible, so you have bigger stronger healthier babies when they hatch.? I know you've been in a rush for this whole thing, but a few months could decide on the over all hatch rate and survival rate of the little ones. I know members who have had panthers hatch in five months, but why screw up a good thing. I don't see five month incubation being beneficial to anything but your impatience.

I'll tell you right now longer the incubation time the better your clutch will be. I had 26 Ambilobe eggs hatch at 5-5 1/2 months and out of those 26, lived. Don't worry about diapause. Constant temp in the low 70's, good humidity, and let nature do it's thing.

How many lived.? I agree with this statement though. Low 70's is best.
