The question is in the title. may be simple to someone with a misting system, but im about to receive my first and wanted to know how its done!:D

thx

Scissors can be a pain.. I use a razor knife, it works much better. But the tubing itself will not go through the screen, it will be the bulkhead part of the nozzle( threaded end).

One word.. RAINDOME! I like the raindome alot better than just using a nozzle. But when i was just using the nozzle, i'd take scissors, and cut a very small hole. The screen will "bend" near where you just cutt a small hole. So then try pushing the bulk head through it. That way its a tight tight fit. If it wont go, cutt a little bit more and try again.

So do you want to make e cut a slit? Or a hole? Or two slits in a cross shape?

What kind of misting system are you using? If you're using a mist king or an aquazamp, The misting head goes thru the cage not the tube. I used a very small drill bit and put it thru the cage and started making a circle motion by hand. Do very little at a time and check the fitting until you can push it thru. Leaves no room for feeders to escape. :):):)

If you need a misting system or any hole you need to punch through a mesh cage, use a dome shaped pin (like a round headed chopstick) and gently drill through the mesh. It should widen your grid and give way for the dripper or any other larger object.

Here's a pic from above. I mounted the corner brace from the inside and the jabbed a screw driver threw the screen. Then I fed the adapter through it and fastened it with the little nut. No gaps or anything. :) hope this clears thing up

Its the best way. Super easy, and does not actually damage the screen, so it wont come apart on you later.

Also, corner mounts can be made from any solid, sturdy, cuttable material.

Mine are made of particle board.

agreed. if the hole you make it too large this can be fixed with washers.
