I have a young veiled and i just got butter worms the first time. Ive always heard that as long as the worm is no wider around than the space between her eyes it should be ok. Is this true? I gave her one that was a. Bit smaller than that space and she looked like she was swallowing an awful lot. Is thisok or should i pick out only the smaller ones?

Hello, welcome to the forum :) For soft-bodied worms like butterworms it should be no problem for her to eat anything she is happy to go for (You have the general rule of thumb right). If it looks like she is really having trouble though you might want to offer her smaller ones just for your own peace of mind. Here is a great caresheet I always recommend to new people with Veileds - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/chameleonsinmyhouse/395-veiled-chameleon-care-sheet.html

It was the first time feeding a "big" worm to her, im probally just too paranoid!! If nobody else really has problems ill just keep an eye out and let her do her do!

Lol, paranoia about Chams is what keeps this site going, we know it well :)

Your not kidding!!! I lurk around on this site untill the wee hours of the morning, i feel you can never learn too much about these guys.

Shouldn't be a prob. I feed my veiled dubias that are probably bigger and he can eat 3 in one feeding, he does just great!
