Hornworm pupae move?! ?

Y'all...I can't believe some of the things I've started doing out of love for my chameleon. And none of you warned me that hornworm pupae move and wiggle?! I screamed, I cried, I laughed, and then I still had to move them to a clean cage for misting because I want some hawkmoths.

You should not have to mess with them at all once they are turned. Just leave them be and they will do their thing. Most pupae do wiggle FYI. lol

Yuck hahaha. But I am slowly building my tolerance up. :)

I moved them out of the dirt based on a recommendation in this blog post from 2012:

Apparently misting helps the moths develop better wings? Probably not as important if you're just feeding off immediately. Just learning as I go and trying to enjoy this mini science experiment, but I wasn't prepared for the wiggles. ?

Well FYI BSFL will come out the other end just as alive as when they went in ;)

Yes of that I was warned by the forums hahaha. Thankfully Yoda is a good chewer so that doesn't happen often. But if it does my enclosure is bioactive so they hang in the soil and eventually just become flies. BSFL are so easy. Mh favorite feeder hands down.
