Hornworm eggs

Every time I try a new feeder, most of them die before they get eaten. I have been thinking about hatching my own hornworms. How long will the eggs remain viable if refrigerated? I would like to be able to put just 4 or 5 a day into the hatchery so I don't have to feed them as long.

Unfortunately, hornworms don't work as conveniently as silks. They won't hatch if they have been refrigerated. They hatch a few days after being laid. You can slow their growth once they hatch by keeping them at cooler temps and not feeding them so much though.

well that sucks. The quick hatching time would have made them a perfect option. How long will silkworm eggs stay viable in the refrigerator?
