Home made rain done

Just wanted to ask a question about times for a home made rain done.

I have made it following a post on here connected to my mistking which I was very impressed with considering it took me about 5 mins.

Trevor hates being spayed with a passion so I thought I would try it. Now with the mister it does bump the humidity up higher and quicker where as the done doesn't.

What sort of times do you run yours for if using? I currently have it set to 3 mins 5 times a day. It doesn't cover as much of the cage but probably uses slightly more water. I have also set up the water heater which works 100% better with the dome compared to the misting (wasn't using because it made no difference)

His last poo was white but it has only been set up since Sunday so I'm unsure if he is drinking as much using it.

What are your thoughts on them over misting if your Cham hates being misted

I have found that my panther actually drinks more with the rain dome than the mister. With the mister he was more concerned with running from the mister than with drinking. My rain dome triggers the drinking response much quicker and I see him start licking up the water almost immediately.

I still need to set this up on my other panther cages, but expect to find the same result with them.

I run my rain dome for 3 minutes 4 times a day.

Ive come to the same conclusion @Lpsouth1978 mine will drink from the raindome more, i just took a cricket water cup and cut the lid off, drilled a hole in it. Check my threads i made one about it.

I switched to this today and it works great i put the nozzle in the lid and then a dripper line in the side.

Great news if he's drinking from the dome, but like you said it does decrease humidity in the cage drastically. So I make sure I hand mist my cage 2-3 times a day to keep the humidity up. If you can, just buy another mistking nozzle and the attachment to be able to run two hoses off the mistking so you can have one for the dome and one for the spray nozzle.
