Hold out egg - 1 month and still waiting

I have one hold out egg from my panther clutch that is now a month later than the others that have hatched. I noticed a small lesion on the end of the egg but it is still full and round. The inner membrane does not look like it has been breached. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on with this one? The placement of this last egg was the center of the container so I kinda figured it was more insulated than the rest.

i also have 1 egg left to hatch out of my mitsio clutch,i candled the egg but it doesnt look like it has any viens in it.im just going to leave it incubating.
good luck with your egg.

egg in question

I saw a drop of water on the egg a couple of days ago but it is gone. I was not sure if this was from the egg or from condensation from the container. You can almost see the small split I mentioned in the first post at the end of the egg. I was not looking at that when I took this picture.

I have candled the egg and I do see veins.

lol I have 3 eggs from a clutch where a number hatched out over 4 months ago!

4 months? I guess a month is not that unusual then. The hatchlings from this clutch came out at 6.5 months so I can probaby expect to wait a while longer. Are the 3 you have left positioned in the center of the container?

I have 3 perfect white eggs from a clutch laid Nov 08 where the rest of the clutch hatched August-Sept 09. I just leave them incubating since they look so perfect.

Have you tried candeling them to see if there is anything there?

The egg has finally pipped and I can see it moving. Hopefully in a little while I will have another tiny panther!

The egg had barely a slit in it so I cut it open to try and avoid what happened to 2 of the babies last time. Sorry to say the neonate was dead. I tried reviving it with warm water but I never saw any movement. Such a mix of emotions when dealing with hatchlings.. I guess it was not strong enough to breath on its own.

Thanks Franie. The 6 I have are growing like crazy! There is one that is about 3 time bigger than the rest. He will get his own cage this weekend.
PS. I got the box you sent today. Thank you!
