Still on holidays so I have alot of time on my hands which I gladly spend doing nothing. During these sessions I found myself wondering about my veiled chameleon, Odin's humidity. His cage is always at 40-50% but I was wondering why it has to be these numbers (40-70), and what would happen if it drops or raises?? I tried to look it up but I couldn't find anything...anybody know??

Your Cham will dry out get dehydrated witch starts a chain reaction of health problems with humidity too low, with humidity too high URIs, fungal infections and other bad things. I would just keep humidity between 40%-70%.

With Odin being a Veiled chameleon, your humidity staying at 40-50% in between mistings is more than enough. Veiled's do not require as much humidity as montane species or even panther chameleons.
