Hi

Hi I'm new to this forum and would like to ask a question on purchasing a chameleon. So I'm interested in a Jackson chameleon and wanted to know if lll reptiles is a reputable place to buy thank you very much.:)

Hey, welcome. I'm kinds new too, but this is a great forum to come to. I'm not too sure on where to buy a Jackson, but I do know that it's very important to be prepared. So, in case you didn't know already, it's good to do some research on your chameleon and what they need. I would recommend you also get everything you need before you even purchase them. (it's also nice information to know that chameleons aren't the handling type). If you already knew this, then sorry for wasting time. I hope you find what you need! :) Good luck!

Yup I've done research on this particular little fella, but thanks for reminding me I guess I'll do some research on some care sheets thank you.:) Also does anyone know if it's a good thing to keep a male and female Jackson in one cage when they are near a year old?

You're going to need separate cages. 1 year old is a full adult.

The care sheets here are great. They will get you going on all the basics. When I first got my Jacksons, they were so helpful. I still asked a lot of noob questions, and that's okay too!

As for where to buy a chameleon, I am always a fan of supporting a small, personal breeder who does it because they love the animals not to make money. If you let us know where you are, someone here might know a breeder near you. I also like to be able to see the exact animal I am going to purchase, but that is less critical to some people. If you have specific questions about the reputation or a breeder, you should check on the Fauna Classifieds Board of Inquiry. That is a site where people go to rate vendors (and customers) good or bad based on their experiences.

Welcome to the forums and good luck!

Hi thank you so much for the answer. Also I have been trying to find a local breeder but i haven't found one. May you please help me find one? I live in California Los Angeles. The Chameleon doesn't have to be in Los Angeles because I'm willing to drive there and pick it up. Thank you for the help!:)
