I've kept chams in the past and today got my first baby, a 12 week old male, I have an exo terra 45x45x60cm with the double bulb exo terra fixture that sits on top, it has 2 x exo terra 5.0 UVB bulbs in both are a different shade in colour. Now do I need something different as before ihad a uv/heat single bulb and im worried about him not getting warm enough with these?

How long do the regular house bulbs last? Also, how do they compare, as far as heat, to the reptisun 75watt/100w bulbs. I had a 100w basking bulb from reptisun, and it burnt out in TWO DAYS! Rediculous. Not only that, but it was only getting the basking temp to about 80-82 degrees with a 12'' distance.

My house bulbs last at least 3-6 months, (they prob last longer but I have a tedency to knock them over and bust the filaments when replacing UVB bulbs)
I use 75-100 watts on my Chams, depending on what temps I need.
I have 5 Chams, I keep at different temps so the wattage I use varies depending on what temps I need.
I don't know how they compare to the other bulbs because I have never used them. Too expensive.
Your temp wasn't getting high enough because it was too far away! My lights are all only 6 inches awy from basking spots
