I am getting a 4 month old female veiled chameleon and I'm no quite sure what to feed it, when to feed it, how much to feed it, and how to care for it's food. Please help me

This is an excellent link to read to get most of your info: http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/

To care for food, here's what I would do. Go online (the sponsors of this forum are good places to go to) and buy yourself bulk insects of apropriet size for your little one. Crickets, superworms, roaches, stuff like that. This is MUCH cheaper than getting your feeders locally at a store like Petsmart. Petsmart sells 24 crickets for $4, but you can get 1,000 online for $10-15. Then go to somewhere like Walmart or Target and get large plastic tubs. You want them tall for insects like crickets and roaches. You'll then need to cut out large holes in the lid and hotglue mesh or screen over the holes so that you have good ventilation but can't get any escapees.

For superworms, you don't need such a deep container, something like a drawer is a good. You can breed superworms and roaches very easily, which is in your best interest because you'll save lots of money in the long run. All you have to do then is to feed them good food - Sandra has EXCELLENT blogs to read up on - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/75-feeder-nutrition-gutloading.html I suggest you look around what other information she has.

You can get other insects as well, not just the ones I talked about. The thing is, the 3 above are the most common and easiest to take care of, in my opinion. But you can also order insects like hornworms, butterworms, phoenix worms, and silkworms online but most are either difficult to breed or you can't breed, so they're the kind of insect I get to mix things up but don't have on hand all the time.

Um, what else... I think that's all I can think to add right now. Google/search how to breed insects and learn how to gutload properly and you should be set. On the first blog I inked, read the part about raising FEMALE veileds very carefully! It'll help you extend her life by years!
