Hello im Chris

I don't have chameleons atm but i do have a beardy and used to have a leopard gecko. Umm I don't know what else to type, or even if im in the right part of the forum.

I have one question i'm looking for a good website that sells a Chameleon kit with repatariums heating liteing and misters and everything else that would be needed. So far ive looked at screameleons but they didn't really have much in stock and i've also looked at Chameleonsonly I liked them but i was going to look for more that might be avaliable with better quality/pricing. If you know any places please tell thanks.

Hope this helps. Also you will need some live plants and such in there. Try asking people on their setups to see what you can do. You will also need a light fixture but you can get a cheap on at wal mart im sure.

If they are does this package look good? http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/animals/chameleons/-/65-gallon-chameleon-package/

If i were to get this i would have to get a mister and a few more small things

Hello, let's talk about what you need to set up a cham. First what type and what size of cham are you wanting to get? That will help determine what size cage you need. Also if you are getting a little one, you may need a small cage now with a larger cage later.

My basic set up is:

from LLLreptile
Screen cage,
UVB bulb 5.0 reptisun

Cheap items bought at home deopt/ lowes are:
basking light & fixture
ficus tree or
umbrella tree or
pothos plant
dowels or branches for perches
dripper
mister - if you only have one you can do it by hand to start
fixture for UVB basking light
digital themometer/hydrometer (walmart if not at home depot)

There are lots of directions for DIY drainage & drippers on the forum

This should get you started.

Thanks Stefan, I do try but am learning all the time. That is really part of the fun of chameleons, most of us still have a lot to learn.

Thanks Laurie I'm thinking about getting about a 5-month old panther and get a 24x24x48 for it now and get a bigger one for it as it grows and thanks everyone for help :D so far for the Screen cage ,lighing, heats, and vitamins is about $121 dollars plus shipping is this a good price?
p.s. Im looking at the items on lllreptile.com

Two thermometres are handy so that you can easily monitor the hottest (Basking) spot at all times, as well as a mid to lower cage "cooler" spot. This helps you ensure that there is a good gradient within the right range.
