Here We Go Veild Or Pygmy

Well, here we go, i have been hooked on getting a chameleon for four years! And have had my eye on the veild and a pygmy, but wich one? I have done four yers of research for both, i mean, the veild would be awsome! Its just i dont know if i can deal with any more crickets and stuff, like i have three reptiles now, a crested gecko and two bearded dragons and just sold my ball python, but the crcikets right now are huge, and im a kid who has to go to school and plays a high level of hockey. Anyways thats not my main concern, my main concern is what do i do when i go away? I have a reptile watcher that i know but its not cheap. Well anyways please help me out with a decision here, thanks

Sounds like you do not have time for either to be very honest. Chameleons need care several times daily-they will not drink out of a water dish and unless you have a mister that means you being available several times daily. Both pygmies and Veileds will need crickets-just in different sizes, and tiny crickets are not always readily available.

i just am not home during the day. But if i do get a cham i will wait until summer when im home all day and can make sure they are doing well and do not have any problems or anything. On all the care sheets i have read there are different statements. How many crickets should you feed a male yemen vield chameleon each day and how often?

It depends on the age and the size of the crickets. Juvies can eat 20 1/2" crix daily, adults could eat 5+ full size every other day-also depends on the individual cham. But a healthy cham eat a variety. Mine eat Crix, Supers, Dubia, Silks, and now Horns.
