I took some pics of Herbie and finally some color is coming through his pissy attitude :) We've been trying everything from hand feeding to stick trick but this little guy just likes biting and hissing a bit too much /: oh well... But his colors are looking AWESOME already... I was thrilled to see that he is already flaring red ALL OVER when he gets huffy

Consider opening the cage door some and allowing him to climb onto a vine that leads out of the cage some or connect it to a near by tree or hanging potted vine plant. This additional free range room should help him not feel so territorial. Start with allowing this Free range time a few hours at a time, supervised at first. Then gradually you can allow him more and more time.

He has already established his cage as HIS territory and when YOUR hand enters HIS territory that is the response you get. Not all chams respond identical obviously, but this added 'neutral' zone may help him feel not so confined and may be more tolerable to experiences with you.
