Help with humidity

i have a 24x24x48 screen cage for my 4 1/2 month old chameleon
The humidity stays around 40 i nees to get it up to 50-60
I covered the screen cage in shower curtains
Also have live plants
A humidifier
And i mist the whole cage for 3 minutes
Even with all this it stays at 38-40% humidity
The light i have on top is a zoo med 40w 120v blue feeding light
The other is a uvb 13 w light
The temperature also stays in the 70's
Plz i need help with this new cage thank you

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - veild chameleon,male,3 1/2 months
  • Handling - 2 times a week
  • Feeding - small crickets,gut load sweet potatoes and oranges,1 everyday, 10 crickets aday
  • Supplements - calcium with d3 every two weeks multi vitamin every 2 weeks and calcium with out d3 everyday
  • Watering - flitered water without Chlorine,misting with spray bottle 2 to 3 times a day
  • Fecal Description - pee droping is white.poop is normal, he poop and pee pouche every morning after he eats
  • History - 4 1/2 months and mean

  • Lighting - zoo mex double light, lights are zoo med 40w 120v blue light day light the other is a
  • Temperature - 75-80 dgrees
  • Humidity - misting,i have a humidifier. Stays at 35-40 percent

  • Placement - cage is in a living room ceiling fan about 13 feet away,cage is on the floor it stands up 48 inches not a high traffic area

You will want a T5HO (5.0 or 6%) long linear lightbar fixture.
Also if you have a lot more live plants, they will maintain the humidity much better.
One more thing, it is good to put your enclosure on a stand or table so the chameleon is up off,the ground. Around eye level is much better. They want to be able to be high, away from predators. They live in the tree canopy, so more plants+elevation.

That long linear fixture is very important.
 
50-60% daytime humidity is for panther chameleons. Your little buddy, a veiled,will like his daytime humidity to be between 30-50%. So it is good right now. But the nighttime spike in humidity is needed for proper hydration.
