Hi guys its me again, after cleo not eating for 14 days we took her to a sooooo called vet, the only one here that had any idea of reptiles. after taking her xray there were no eggs so he said that she is just having a hunger strike and that this would pass.
all she has eaten in 14 days was one moth so today i tried crickets, kingworms, and beetles and she slammed her mouth shut untill i got waxworms she ate 9 of them and would have eaten all 25 but i stopped her at 9 as everyone and all litature says they are so fattening and rich in calcium. so here is my question, how many should i feed her and should i supplement with calcium and vitamins. i will keep trying to get her to eat other things but for now i am just glad she ate something.
all advise is greatly appreciated
thanks
glen

I would say to take her whole enclosure outside if you have warm sunlight and try feeding her silkworms. My chams seem healthier outside and more active, maybe this would kickstart her hunger. Also its pretty safe to say chameleons LOVE silkworms.

I wouldnt feed too much of those wax worms. You could try hornworms, silkworms, butterworms and even phoenix worms. Just keep trying to feed her, she will eventually eat when shes hungry. My little guy loves his silkworms haha, i love those soft bodied worms, they help out so much with hydration :D and they are full of goodness for your chameleon :p well maybe not so much wax worms, unless you want a chubby chameleon haha
