I have two baby trioceros sternfeldi (rudis chams). One of them has fallen off her perch when I spray her, I've tried not spraying as hard but when I start spraying she'll usually hang by her back feet and tail, then fall into the fake plant below. Is there something wrong with her or do u think she's just not big enough to get a good grasp with her back feet? Does she need more calcium?

She is probably scared of the water and trying to escape. Chams will intentionally fall if scared. Are you spraying directly on her? If so I would spray around instead.

Spray the surfaces around her (leafs, branches, glass,or screen) Not her. A light warm mist works okay from over head. And also a dripper dipping onto a branch or leaf will usually bring a chameleon to drink, and not leap away like spraying does.

Thanks so much!

All chams are different. My male loves to be showered with my sprayer and put his head straight up in the air and closes his eyes. My female runs the other way, and has never liked it. I pray through the top screen portion of my cage so like its "raining." The water also accumulates up there with a heavy mist, so it'll continue dripping after I've finished, which they seem to like.

She was drinking straight from the sprayer for the first two days
