My friend found this guy in his front garden.(see pics below)

Neither he nor I have experience in keeping reptiles, I told him to break off the branch and bring him inside, which he did.

It's currently in a shoebox, still attached to the branch, he rang the rspca who didn't seen to be very helpful..but they told him they would get back to him.

Basically he needs some help in the short term to do what is right for the little guy.

So constructive advise greatly appreciated.

Thanks Aysh. x

Do you have a spray bottle for water and maybe a plastic bin to put it in for now? He will need some misting for drinking.

Also where do you live? What a find in the front yard. Do you plan on keeping it permanently?

In the UK... not planning on keeping him.

The RSPCA just contacted him and are picking it up 2moro, just need some advice/help till then please.

Thankyou Ryan.. will tell him to put him in a plastic bin/box and spray the foliage for him.

Use really warm water, and maybe grab a few more branches to put in the box.

Hi your best bet is to find someone who knows what they are doing I have heard a lot of bad stories about the RSPCA not knowing anything about reps and they just put them to sleep

I am in the uk and have chams and could help where abouts are you ??

Agreed. RSPCA no nothing about reptiles.

Im in the UK aswell if I could help, if not try joining here and asking around as thats a UK forum - http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/

Yep I recognise your username lol. Mines the same on RFUK too :)

There are some very experienced people on there Im sure one of them will be near you and able to offer some assistance!

Even if you just take it to a local reptile shop please do not let the RSPCA take it. You can't trust them to make the right decision for it

Im based in West London (middlesex)

at the moment he / she is in the box, loads of lil holes in the top, theres a bit more foliage in there and Im misting it once ever 3 hours. Misting the leaves, not the cardboard.

Are you planning on keeping it or do you definitely want someone to take it? If you want someone to take it I would join the forum link I gave you above and make a thread about it. Watch out for people just asking for it for free though.

Goodluck!

It's only young IMO don't know what species would say not a panther or a yemen really cannot understand what it was doing in the garden or how it survived for any length of time they are quite delicate creatures. Have you asked your neighbours??

Yeah Ill do it aslong as the other person is happy with me to do so. Hopefully the little cham will survive! Wonder how long its been out?!
