Hey everyone,I was wondering if anyone could help me with identifying this little guy. I got him from a wholesaler/retailer here in Calgary, he came from a shipment listed as "assorted baby panthers" from Murdough reptiles in Ontario.
He was just a little bigger than my index fingertip when I got him maybe 2 in ches at best, which honestly was a little intimidating especially for the price, I was guessing him about 3 or 4 weeks. I chose him of the 4 even though the smallest because even at that size he was showing hints of yellow, red, and green, especially when first removed from the shipping box. That was May 28/08 so I figure he is about 4 or 5 months old now. He has outgrown his clutchmates Ive tracked dramatically and is about 5-6 inches body length now. He is probably too young to tell for sure now but any info/guesses would be greatly appreciated. Ill try to get some pictures of him fired up these are on a cool early morning and he is just waking up. Thnks a ton

Would you be able to take some pics outside in the sun? Its hard to see color in the pics. The cages lighting makes it a little too yellow. It probably is a Little too early to guess the locale.

Are you sure its a male? If not would you mind posting some pics like the second pic just a little clearer and maybe a little closer up to the tail base?

The 3rd looks like my Zelda (female Nosy Mitsio).

Yea, that fact that it is a female makes it very tough/impossible. I would lean towards an eastern locale female, mitsio females do resemble east coast females (I think it is because in males the green background color that goes yellow is similar to many of the eastern background colors) but the likelihood that would end up in an assorted box is very small. That is all I got.

Identifying locale of a Panther

Sorry about my previous title if it bothered anyone, this is the first time I have posted anything on this site. Ill be more consciencious from now on.
The main reason I am assuming it is a male is because he/she can display red and green at the same time, although there also seems to be a hemipenal bulge forming. As soon as I get a chance I will post some better photos out of the mercury vapour light and hopefully get a decent display from him/her. It is a very docile chameleon, quite friendly so getting it to puff up its neck or hiss is rare. I very rarely handle it unless to take it outside so maybe I'll have some luck with the camera. Thanks to everyone for your replies. (I just got the pics they are on page 2 of this thread).
