heating issue panic (kinda)

Okay, so this may seem like a worry wort/rookie quesiton, but im having problem with my head. I have my new 2 month old panther (i know i havent posted pics but im letting him settle in a little before i stick the nikon in his face) that is acting weird.

He is hanging upside from his cage under/close to his heat light. I have his basking spot at 80-83* (which from what i udnerstand is good for a baby panther) he acts like he wants more heat. My veiled did this for a while and i put a hotter bulb in his cage and he went back to being normal. Only problem is, my veiled was ~8 months old and large and okay, i really dont wanna cook a baby lol.

any ideas? or should i just let him be a goober?

May be he is just getting use to his new surroundings. I would just give him time to settle in. Being that young I wouldn't want to raise the temps.

As long as its acting normally...eating, moving around, alert, eyes open, etc. I wouldn't worry about it.

I talked to Lance about it and he wasn't worried either. My ambient temps we decided were a few degrees low so I bumped the temps in my reptile closet and were gonna see how he does. He's running around a ton more today, but when I woke up and ventured into the closet he had split his shed open and was rubbing the tree getting everything off.

Iill keep everyonje updated
