heat tape ??

I'll be building a new enclosure for my vailed soon it'll be about 3 ft tall. Would it benifit my cham to have heat tape along the top of his enclosure

If you are talking about flex watt heat tape that would not be a good idea. Heat tape is designed to quickly disperse heat so if something is sitting on top of it the heat will be transferred, however it does not really disperse heat to an area. Basking lights and ceramic heat emitters are much better options.
