i need some ideas on how to put something over the light bulb so my cham dont get to it if he goes on top of his cage...a cover or something...cause he has a free range and sometimes goes up there,.

How is he free-ranging in a cage?

Could you maybe post a picture of the setup?

I used hardware cloth. I rolled it into an 8" diameter, secured it with wire, and then covered it with duct tape so my cham couldn't climb it. Then I put my 8" dome fixture right down inside it.
