Heat Lamp Burnt Out

Hi everyone. So the situation is, my husband left for work and we currently have only 1 working vehicle. Later on today, I noticed that the basking light burnt out (it was working in the early morning). So obviously I will buy a new one and a spare one when he comes back home in a few hours. However, what should I do to keep my veiled comfortable? I have turned off the A/C so it should get pretty warm in the house, as it is August. Also, I was wondering if I should open up the windows and get some humidity in the house? I live in Minnesota and it is ridiculously humid.

Any thoughts? Thank you everyone!

No need to open windows. He will be fine with the ambient temps as they are quite comfortable basking at 80 degrees and do not need it hotter.

If you have a spare incandescent light bulb you can use that. But he should be able to warm himself with the UVB fixture. And if your house is 70 degrees he will be more then ok. Does not need to be hot for him.
