Hi
I just wanted to check to see if my chameleon is looking healthy... I posted a thread about him asking for advice when I first got him and people commented saying he looked dehydrated and unhealthy. Details:
Veiled cham, about 1 year old, male. reptibreeze (mesh) enclosure with a mix of live and plastic plants. Eats what I would consider a lot (6 locusts or about gut loaded 10 crix a day) but will suddenly stop and not eat anything for about 5 days every now and then... this is something I worry about! Supplemented (when eating) with calcium most days and calcium with d3 two to three times a week. I use a spray bottle at the moment as he has started to climb down to the bottom and drink from the puddles created on the floor of the enclosure and so I figured he is keeping himself fairly well hydrated now. Humidity remains high, although now it's getting colder, I sometimes struggle to keep the temperature very high (it reaches about 76'F at the moment). He doesn't let anyone near him and is very territorial (which I believe is a good thing!) My main concerns are his size ( I don't know if he still a bit small?) And his eating. But also if he is looking healthier now? any advice would be much appreciated
