He Did It!!!!

Sammy, one of my older rescues that i've had for almost a month finally ate on his own today. I'm ssooo excited. This is his first time that he has ever eaten on his own. I wish i could have seen whether he used his tongue or not but i didn't. I don't really care as long as he did it! Yeahhhhh! It was a medium sized hornworm, i figured where i thought he had killed the big one the other day maybe he just needed something smaller. Can you see the smile of pride on his face?

Very cool. We have what turned into a rescue and he ate after getting better but then had to be on meds for three months and never did again.

Finally he's on his own again. What a relief, eh?
