I have 27 hatchling babies and i need help!

This is my first clutch ever and so far 2 babies showed signs of black eye and black almost bruise looking spots on their body and i don't know what happened. Please help

I know it's upsetting I just don't know if anyone had ever seen this happen and can tell me what is wrong

What temperature have you been keeping it at?
What temperature did you incubate the eggs at?

I'm not an expert and my only experience with babies has been a clutch of graciliors that are now a month old. Unfortunately no one with experience has chimed in yet and time is of the essence so I'll try to help with what little knowledge I have.

Make sure your temperatures are absolutely bang on and the humidity is up. Babies dehydrate a lot more easily than adults. Make up a hospital cage--solid sides, even a solid top to get the humidity up. It will probably help to have the temps ever so slightly higher than ideal, but you might want to hold off on that until someone with experience can help you.

What kind of babies are they? How old? Are the healthy ones eating?

How long ago did it hatch? Week to two weeks ago

How long has it been laying on its side? It was up and awake this morning. When I got home from work he was black and had passed

What temperature have you been keeping it at? Tank is 80

What temperature did you incubate the eggs at? Boyfriend incubated not sure of the temp

Did you help itbout of the egg? I don't remember I had 27 babies I can't tell who is who

Sorry to hear it passed...sorry to tell you that I was sure it was going to pass. How's the other one?
There may be nothing you could have done to prevent this...there is a mortality rate in the first three months of life....unfortunately.

From my experience the dark black ones are usually injured (babies will scrap, especially veil) or dehydrated. I keep babies cooler than adults the first couple weeks. I also mist them every 1 1 1/2 hours, or as cage dries. They will dehydrate faster than you can blink, especially if there is a heat bulb or they can get close to any lighting. They don't realize they are overheating. Adults even get burns frequently if their lighting is not adjusted. Make sure they have ample ventiliation also. That hot air needs to escape.
