Hatch Rite, Perlite, or Vermiculite???

Hatch Rite or Vermiculite. Vermiculite is the way I am going, and it can be gotten cheap. Vermiculite holds water better then Perlite.

Try to find the course ground vermiculite. I have only had success getting the fine stuff and it is not great when the babies come. It sticks to the like crazy.

I really like it because it is little peices of clay so it does not stick to the chameleons or whatever you are hatching. Also simple instructions soak it, let it drip dry and use it. It can also be reused.

Just use vermiculite.
I've had the best results using it.

I have use most substances over the years. My best experience have been with peat mulch, sometimes mixed with Vermiculite.
Interestingly the eggs kept in peat mulch grew to become almost 50% larger than eggs from the same clutch that was in Vermiculite.
