Hand Feeedinng

I have ben feeding my almost 5 month old ambilobe (Carter) from a white deli cup. i almost always offer him at least once from my hand. been doing this for about a month now but yesterday for the first time he finally snagged it from my hand!!!! He just did it again today and i feel lame for how much this excites me. its funny also because as soon as he realizes what he's done he gets a little freaked out and runs away. I'm not going to push it to much, just offer the first cricket or 2 off my hand each day before i put his cup in his cage. So far he's only taken the first then refuses to eat off my hand after that point. Just an update i thought i would share!!!

P.S. this forum is so amazing, i find myself just surfing through the forums and reading everything i can find. IM SO ADDICTED. i already want another chameleon but have told myself i MUST wait until this guy is a 1 year to 1.5 years old so i will have made it through one chameleons child stages and understand first hand all the steps.

and i was wondering how often does a normal chameleon poop/urate.. it seems like i find one every day or two always very large and a nice white end. just curious whats normal.

Good attitude to have. Just let him accept you on his time frame not yours. You will have many yrs with him so by letting him come to you he will see that you arent a threat or a predator.

Oh and at his age he should be poopin every day or so. When he hits 8-10 months he will start slowing down and his poops will become more infrequent. My adults poo prob 2 times a week on avg.

and update, he ate 3 from my hand today!!! this is my first chameleon, so the feeling of his zapping something from my hand is SOOO COOOL!!!!
