so i tried to search for this question but had no luck. i was wondering what everyones methods were to get your cham to start hand feeding. i have 2 jacksons and i would like to start hand feeding them but have no idea how to teach them to do this.

try cup feeding first. When they are used to seeing your hand and start associating it with food, start putting worms on your hand. Move slowly and start with their fav snacks. I taught my baby like that.

yeah i tried to cup feed them but they dont ever eat from the cup. when i let the crickets free range in the cage they eat all of them up. but i will definitly try the worm thing. thank you

mine hate cup feeding what i do is i hold the cricket by the feet and i hold it about 4in away from his head and with superworms and mealworms i hold them in my hand in front or him

yeah ive tried tha also lol. they just look at it for a second then walk away. i guess its just gonna take some time. thanks for your guys input

with my guy and my old girl, i would hold the cricket by the back legs and try to make sure that they move around. they wouldn't look at the cricket unless it was moving. sometimes i'd move my fingers back and forth to kinda force the cricket to move it's legs around but the chams eventually noticed the movement and would attack. my new guy is now used to it and only eats from my hand.. i think the breeder trained him that way b/c it was only the 2nd day that he was consistently eating from my hand..
