Hi All,

Thought I'd share a few pics of some of my chams.

Hana and her sisters are the wives of Osama bin Allen (see pic below).

Also, I've included a pic of Bobby Fischer for all of you chess players out there.:)

I hate being the party-pooper (honestly) but I gotta ask - Are you aware that all three of your girls seem to have (or had) MBD? And fairly severe MBD at that, due to the bone deformities I'm seeing.

MBD in Hana and her sisters

Yes. I bought five baby veildeds (3.2) over a year ago. All have survived well and work and play together. I've given them high calcium diets but it hasn't corrected their MBD.

Any suggestions?

You don't correct MBD. You just stop it. How old are they now if you bought them over a year ago? What is your supplementation schedule?
Side note, do you always keep them together like that? They seem a little cramped.

They're all about 14 months.

I dust all their food with calcium.

They're in the free range area most of the time so they do get out a lot.

Any suggestions on supplements?

If you have not already done so, check out this care sheet:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/veiled/

Scroll through it and you will see a supplementation schedule, as well as a specific section for female veileds. If you don't mind me suggesting so, I would recommend you separate the girls and put them in 18x18x36 enclosures. They all appear quite gravid and privacy is key. Within the female section of the care sheet it will talk about how to set up a lay bin for gravid females.

Welcome to the forums. I would highly recommend you not mate your girls. It would be very difficult for them to lay infertile eggs and fertile eggs are even more so. I also recommend you keep the boys out of site of the girls. If the girls even see a male it can cause them to start forming a clutch. You should do everything possible to prevent these girls from laying eggs. I have a few links for you below. I recommend keeping a laying bin with your girls at all times.
