Hi everyone I am new to posting on the forum but have been visiting frequently over the last few years. I first realised my veiled Cham had this small growth on his side a couple of years ago. I took him to the vet about a year ago to have it looked at when it grew to a few millimetres. Vet advised me he was in good health and that not enough is known about Cham tumours etc to diagnose and to leave it be as he has reached an above average age and seems otherwise well.. It's now doubled in size he is still acting himself but I am going to take him to the new more experienced herp vet at the same practice next week. I assume it's a cyst as it is soft to the touch and the skin doesn't appear sore or damaged as in images of tumour cases I have seen online. I was wondering if anyone else has any more info on this matter or any similar experiences?

I have just seen on another thread "George had surgery" and it looks like it could be a chromatophoroma? I'm not sure how to copy the link from my phone to the picture or else I would, apologies!

Hi jannb, funnily I've just looked through your thread and then saw your post. Sorry to hear about Luie. Do you think the skin mass on his side was related to the other problems with his jaw at all? Was that the wound you had to flush after the excision? Hopefully the vet will do some analysis on it next week and I will post any info on here.

Luie was a very special chameleon. I miss him everyday. I don't think the two problem were related. I had to flush the incision on his chin for the bone infection to drain. The very best of luck with your guy.
