I was just wondering can you use a 60 watt GE grow light as a baking light? I know that you can use a regular bulb as a baking light but I plan on getting a grow light and was wondering if they put out enough heat to use as a basking light as well. I'm guessing they don't but I thought I'd ask. I know most grow lights are LED and they don't give off enough heat. I'm just upgrading my enclosures and plan on going bioactive soon so just getting some input.

I have used grow lights as basking lights, infact, I think some of mine right now are. I use a jungledawn led for my females basking. Gives off just enough at close distance. Noticed my chams love basking under the jungledawns for some reason.

Great thanks. I'll have to look into them.

Do you happen to have a link to buy those leds I’m interested as well

I don't need a lot of heat for my guys so I use the incandescent plant light for heat. Summer I use a 40 watt and winter a 60.
