I am looking to buy or make a greenhouse to keep my panther chameleons and I was wondering is there any specific type of greenhouse you need to make to house chameleons? also if anyone has any ideas of how to get one at the cheapest cost and if it makes sense to buy a ready to build kit. any information is a plus because I am just now looking into everything about the greenhouses.

know nothing about greenhouses except that your cham will love it...Oh and if you want natural uvb rays to pass through your greenhouse instead of buying uvb tubes, you'll need to invest in some acrylic panels as they let uvb rays pass through. Thats all i can contribute...

ok so does anyone know where the best place to buy a greenhouse is? and do you know of any that have the acrylic panels already so I dont need uvb strip lights.

You may want to PM Motherlode Chameleons I believe they raise their chameleons in one.

I would say the greenhouse authorities on this forum would be DGray, chamelisa, and Motherlode Chameleon. They all have quite a bit of knowledge on the subject.

The best thread to reference would be this one and look for greenhouse builders/options on page 4.

Keep in mind a real working greenhouse, capable of climate control, will run you several thousand dollars. If you'll keep your chams in there year-round, be prepared to have back-up systems and someone to continually check to make sure everything is running well. There is nothing that can cook a chameleon faster than a greenhouse left to the elements. BUT, they can be amazing once up and running efficiently.
