Hey all,
I have been on the lookout for some PYGMY chameleons for a long time now and I finally found a 2.2 set that seemed healthy at the San Diego show (the guy said he captive bred them, but then he couldn't name the species and they LOOK like two different species....so I dunno....but they were healthy and the price was reasonable...)

ANYYYYWAY.......so I brought them home (their tank had been waiting empty for them for 4+ months hehehe). They seem content in their 10 gal (I originally had planned to get a 1.2 set, but I ended up wiht a 2.2 set). I have pics attached of their setup and any/all criticism is most welcome!!
But heres my real problem: One of my ladies LAID EGGS this morning!!! Its actually possible the other one did as well because they both look way skinnier than they were yesterday....but I only know of where one set of the eggs are buried (I saw one actually laying this morning; 3 eggs). UPDATE: I just went in and saw that she had DUG UP her eggs??? It looks as if she is laying more but I can't really tell....I just walked away to leave her be just incase.
WHAT DO I DO !?!?!? Do I dig up the eggs, go out buy an incubator, get some vermiculite (is that right?), etc? I'm vaguely familiar but I have never dealt with eggs/breeding before. Or should I just leave the eggs in there???
Do I need to do anything else special???
And, on a side note, what exactly do you guys FEED your pygmies? I seeded the tank with tons of springtails, but they seem too small....my tiniest dubia nymphs seem just a TINY bit too big...
I'm about to go buy some fruit flies for them, but I'm not sure if I should be using D.Mela's or D.Hydei's? Leaning towards hydei atm...assuming petco even has some :\
Lastly.....can anyone ID the SPECIES???? I am 99% certain that I have at least 2, if not 3 different species....one of my males has yellow dotted eyes which none of the others have. One female and my other male are both light grey/white colored most of the time while my final remaining female is pretty much always orangish/brown.
EDIT: Sorry if this is in the wrong category....I wasn't sure if I should put it under Pygmy Enclosures, Breeding, or what...
EDIT: I have not FED them since I brought them home yesterday (but I gave them water last night and they were THIRSTY!!)....should I NOT feed/water them for awhile until my female is completely done laying??
