I was in a very nice privately owned petstore where i have always gone for quality feeders and supplies. I have met the person who breeds all of their reptiles including the occasional jackson's chameleons. When i was in there last night though I noticed a new addition to their herp section... There was a juvenile Mellers in the large screen cage. I noticed its horn was rubbed off, tail was broken at the end, an inch long or so section of the fin on its tail was missing, and he was EXTREMELY thin/dehydrated. Broke my heart so i asked about the animal. The younger employees said he was a brand new arrival and pretty sure he was a rescue. If I had the time to commit to this animal i would have no problem spending the 110 for the lizard plus whatever vet bills persued but i just don't have the time.. If anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is interested in a beautiful lizard who needs love, you should give the Petland off of Forest/Preston road (highland park area) in dallas a call. Just knowing that such a sought after and beautiful cham. made me post on here just in case someone needed a new holiday addition to their family.
On a lighter note, happy holidays to everyone on the forum.
