Just purchased a new veiled today :D
i believe it is a she cause i could not find a spur on either hind leg.
She has already drank from her dripper after her misting. She hunted down 2 crickets within minutes of me putting the crickets in :p
so far so good she looks healthy and is eating and drinking.

Only one concern i have this is my first female chameleon and i know they have an egg process they go through even if no male is around?
If so what steps should i take to keep her healthy and have a place to lay her eggs.

Congrats on your new baby! I love veileds. They have so much personality. I have a couple of blogs linked below to help you with your new girl. The first is for general care with a special link for females and the second is about egg laying and the laying bin.

thanks so much very informative :D
Ive seen that cricket crack for gutloading quite a few times already by different people.
Any good? will it suffice as a permanent gutload? over veggies and fruits?

You need a good dry gut load and fresh fruits and veggies.

look for sandrachameleon's blogs about nutrition. You will be amazed at how helpful that info is for offering your baby good healthy food. But you will be even more amazed at the difference it will make in your critter. I am!

we've got a rule here..........When you get a new cham you have to show some pics :D
