Good hydrometer brands?

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering what brand and model is best for a hydrometer. I'm currently using a probe type thing with a "fan" on the end, but it reads all the time that our cage is only 25% relative humidity! and I know that's not right. Should we use a dial? Probe? Brands?! Thank you!

Do you mean hygrometer? Test it by putting it somewhere like your bathroom and watch to see if the reading changes before and after someone showers. If you keep a hygrometer at a constant high humidity level it can get "stuck".

I use the ones from home depot now. They are ten bucks, and they seem much more accurate than others I have. I have the ones that do high/low temp and humidity daily.

Theres a method to calibrate them. or help know how much +/- % irs off. Use somethign like a cup full of salt filled with water in a cup. put it in a zip lock bag with the hygrometer and leave for about 9 hours and should read 75%.

something along those lines search the forums on how to calibrate, its somewhere on here
