Good cheap minutes timer?

I ordered a mistking and I could have ordered a seconds timer with it but it seems expensive, does anyone know of a good programmable timer I can program to run for 5 mins every 3 hours every day that is cheap? Preferably one I can pick up so I don't have to pay a shipping fee?

I got mine at lowes in the lamp section. It was around $20. I have it set to do exactly what you are wanting, 5 minutes every 2-3 hours or so. For some reason, it says 15 minute minimum intervals but I tested it and I can have it come on and go off after 1 minute. It was the only programmable digital lamp timer they had at the time which was about a year ago. it works great for my application. Its running an auto drip system on my 2 cages.

I can't name on off the top of my head, but I've gotten most of mine on sale or at yard sales - sometimes even off freecycle.

You find them in the oddest of places. :)

If you check any local hardware store, or home depot, they have both digital and analog timers. For what you are describing, the timer should run you about 8-10 bucks. I saw them in Ace Hardware today if you guys have that.

We have a Brinks digital timer that we got at Walmart for $12. It works really well. You can program it to go off for any amount of time 6-7 times a day. We have been very pleased with it! It also has an internal battery in case it gets unplugged etc. It has two outlets built into it.
