It looks like I have won my boyfriend over & we will be getting another cham in September :D

I went and spoke to the guy who runs a reptile showroom just down the road-I wanted to get a feel for how he runs things. He had a nice healthy looking veiled and panther on display. He said he gets most of his stock from expos & occasionally from breeders. I asked him to look out for a carpet chameleon or a fischers for me.

I was just wondering if anyone can give me links to reliable care sheets for the 2 species? And give me opinions on which would be best?

I'm personally leaning towards a carpet cham at the moment, but I'd like to check out the care requirements before I come to any descisions.

Just be prepared to deal with a wc cham if you get a carpet. I dont know how the uk is but there arent many ppl breeding carpets here in the U.S. Same goes for a fischers your gonna be dealing with a wc cham that is going to take months to fully acclimatte to caged life. So be prepared and research how to acclimatte a wc cham. Its alot of work and initially the vet costs can be high. So you may want to go with something cb.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to look into it & see if there are any breeders in the UK. I wouldn't get a WC, it doesn't sit right with me.

Maybe a jacksons or panther would be better, but they are much more expensive, so perhaps not an option for me.

The other option is to get a few pygmy chams, which would be nice.

Are you on facebook at all - if so you can message them on there - Julian or Michaela are quite often online. You could try phoning them if you want to. I have met them both a couple of times now at the Portsmouth Show and they are so nice and very helpful!

Yay for new acquisitions! I adore carpets, they look like they hired the same stylists as butterflies.

They are gorgeous, I love the funny little olympic rings they have along their sides lol. I still need to find a reliable care sheet for them, can anyone point me in the right direction?
