hey guys.. thanks so much for your help! ive been researching a bit and i have some good understanding.. going to get a baby veiled! anyways here is my setup for now

18x18x36 half glass half mesh
dome light fixture with 50watt basking light
18" flourescent hood fixture
and reptisun 15" 5.0 uvb bulb
handmist (still building a auto mister)

gutloaded crickets and pheonix worms
and will mix it up once in a while with mealworms, waxworms, flies
calcium
calcium+D3
and multivitamin (someone please link me to the proper one)

im in need of a 18" fixture that is compatible with the 15"reptisun 5.0 bulb. will any flourescent fixture work? i dont really want to buy a fixture that is not compatible with the bulb.. i also dont really want to pay 30$ for a fixture.. thanks a link of something compatable would be great!

i am going to take the plunge and go for it! some of you have told me that i will only learn if i already have it :D

A good multivitamin is herptivite. Go with a regular 40 watt incandescent soft white house bulb. What will you be gutloading with?

More importantly than the wattage of the bulb you'll use for basking is the distance you place it from the basking area, the age of the cham, and the temperature you desire. Depending on the species (I know yours is a veiled), you have to play around with the distance in order to get the recommended temperature. You can get the same basking temperature from a 40w and a 75w bulb if you place the 75w bulb higher than the 40w. You have to just play around with those and always have a thermometer and a hygrometer. If you have the money, get an infrared thermometer.

For the supplements, here are the links:

i will play around with the setup and try to get it setup correctly. i also have a 25watt and 75watt basking bulbs and there are plenty of bulbs scatered around the house..

im not shure about gutload yet.. i will probably try the vegetables and fruits and i want to try the dry gutloads sold at stores.. i think once i get the cameleon, i will learn faster.
what would you recommend?

Get Cricket Crack! Its a dry gutload, and from what i've heard its awesome. I have not used it but nobody has said anything against it.
Here's their facebook page:

Also, definitely use veggies and fruits to gutload your crickets and other feeders.. here's another good link for gutloading by one of the forum members:

cool! i have sent cricketcrack a text and asked for pricing! will definatly try this stuff as ive read some good stuff about them!

Read the link that Laurie sent you, very helpful. Also, any questions you have, always feel free to ask! (first use to the Search function to see if there have been similar issues, chances are that there have)

been using the search button! lots of info there! you guys are great.. it is kinda hard to find exact answers though.. this is why i have started several threads so i can ask stuff that confuse me..

(i stayed up all last night reading the forums :D )

hahaha, i have been doing the same for the last 3 days.. Every time I find something I want to have for future reference, I copy it onto a word document. I have several documents relating to different things. Its a nice, organized way to keep information available

haha same here! ive been documenting some good stuff incase i need to refer to it in the future! haha care to send me an email of what you got? pm me!

perfect! thanks.. ive been involved with different types of forums for different/past hobbies and im actually liking this forum better than any ive ever been on! lots of help and support from the millions of cham owners! other forums are slow and you dont get responses so quick! you guys are AMAZING

still need help finding this though!
