General winter question

Well its starting to get pretty chilly here, and I'm a little worried about humidity/temp. But since my reptibreeze doesn't have a backing and is under a good table we wrap the cage with a towel before some sprays. Can we just kep the towel around it 24/7. I'm guessing it'll help keep humidity in, hopefully temp too? Been exerienceing 79 with the space heater off whem were gone, 3-4 month old Vieled

Hello, I have no idea where you live but it is -11 here. Just a few of my ideas, get you cham off the floor, they like to be up high and the coldest place is on the floor. Cover the table the cham's cage will sit on with a plastic drop cloth, and three sides the cage it's self with part of the drop cloth or a cheap shower curtain. Hot air takes humidity out of the air keeping the cage covered on 3 sides helps keep the humidity in, so does having lots of live plants. If it is getting to cold get a heat emitter (cermanic bulb with not light). Make sure it isn't too close to the cage and check what temps you are getting inside the cage. Raise or lower the heat emitter to get the temp you need.

If you need more help/ideas just let me know. I keep my kids warm and humid at -30.

Thanks! =D, the table and shower curtain are amazing ideas! Its a small cage so I see why it needs to be off the floor a litte bit more than usual. 4 months. He's close enough that I could just put him in he big boy cage now.

I know how it is. :c We got slammed with snow yesterday.. It's -1 right now.. I miss the 80's. Where can I find that plastic drop cloth? Dollar Store? WalMart?

Hey we were almost neighbors, hubby just considered a job in Watertown!! I would get it at walmart, if you are lucky you may get one at the dollar store.
