General advice before purchasing

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in the process of buying a chameleon.
I live quite far away from where I’d be picking him up from (about 4 hours) and I have been sent videos and pictures of him. As far as I can see he’s in good health, but I wanted to clarify that before I get him.
The seller says that he eats well too.

From that image he looks good... Do you have more pictures?

Do you know what type of cage, lighting, and supplements they have been using? This can make a difference as well.

I do have a video of him moving and a picture of his setup. I can always change something if there’s something that could do with a change obviously

The uvb is a 6% t5 kit, the cage is 90 cm high which I understand I’ll have to upgrade relatively soon in the future

Lighting is correct... Their branching in the cage needs work so it is placed correctly for use with that uvb. The highest branches should be a measured 8-9 inches from the screen top below the UVB for the correct UVI level.

Then of course switching out all the fake plants for real plants.

Cage size you want for a male of his age is 24x24x48 inches.

If you have not found it yet this is a good husbandry program. It will teach you everything and then ask your questions here in the forum. https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/

I do not see anything visually wrong with him. so that is good. Can not see things like parasites though. So a fecal test is always a good idea.

Let us know if you have any questions.
