"Free range" in progress

Well it is not much but it is a start, with several nice hanging plants and vines I think it might work for a little while. I had an umbrella stand that we were not using, some bird feedeer hooks from a bird feeder that was torn down in a storm and an extra 2x2 when I was building our deck so I put them to use. I have already hung a few plants in it but don't have a pic with the plants ( will take one this weekend). Here it is before th eplants were added.

First things first though, I have to get my boy to like me :). So far he does not care much for me and puffs up if I come near. So every morning I hold a cricket close to him hoping he will take notice and gain some trust. He jumped, (well i say jumped, it hallened so fast) from my hands a few weeks back and it put me back at -100 cool points when it comes to his trust. He has in the last few days started moving closer when I get the mist bottle out so maybe, just maybe we are making progress.

Anyway here is the pic of the "free range" stand

Just be very careful. They can escape faster than you think. Also birds may be near by scouting them as prey. If you are planning an outdoor free range without an enclosure you will need to keep constant watch. Even of the free range will be indoors, you must be careful as they can get in to trouble. Be sure to keep him in a safe area that is chameleon proof or under constant supervision.

Oh yeah, no worries and this will be inside. I have read plenty of threads on escaping chams and while reading them biting what nails i have left off....LOL. If he comes out at all he will be supervised 100% of the time. :D. I do want to take him outside this summer but I think I will put him in an enclosure to do so, I obsess over things way to much to have to add an escaping Cham to the list

I also have 4 dogs, three of which are a yorkshire terrier and Daschunds, they would not be trusted 1 second while he is out. Not planning on doing it anytime soon either but just thought since I had the stuff I would go for it.

Yes, thank you for the hand taming blog, I have already read it several times and I am at the attempting to hand feed section. I go in every morning when I first feed and give it a try. He took one prior to his "fall" a couple of weeks ago but then afterwards it has been a slow process , but that is ok, he will eventually trust me again....I hope :). He does not retreat from me now so that is a step in the right direction
