I went to the local mom and pop pet shop to get crickets tonight, and the guy that owns the shop showed me a female veiled that was doing great 4 days ago but now has no strength. I have her in a cage now and she is holding herself up...not great but she is holding. I nursed another female back from something like this but I have no time to do it again. I just brought her home hoping that someone here would take her.

I live outside of Kansas City and could meet you somewhere around the metro area if you are interested.

You can respond here or to my email... [email protected]

Thanks in advance, Jeffrey

Thanks for looking...... it looks like she might be going down to Springfield tomorrow!!!!!

best of luck. i have a weak spot for rescue Chams. mine had coccidia and i had to give him meds. it was torture for both of us, he barely ate, i got worried and could barely sleep. that is what i got for buying a cham from petsmart. they gave me a deal cause he was about to die. my feelings took over. he has had alot of problems. i have a rescue ball python, his previous owner let him get too close to basking light his nerves are fried on left side. he can only turn right. i have to hand feed him, some times forced. in retrospect i didnt worry half as much as when i found out my Cham had coccidia. it was so hard for me to give him his meds. i had to piss him off so he would hiss and then squirt meds down his mouth. he would puff up and get super stressed. i started injecting supers and then feeding him before they died. this seemed to go over alot better.but it is very hard to accomplish, worm squirm alot.im am thinking off injecting silkies they have a larger abdomen. I wish you the best of luck

Laurie, thanks for the update!!!! I tried to call lee a few times but her phone was not on. I hope she can make it!!!!!! Thanks for hooking everything up for her! It was kind of an odd trip but we are happy she made it!

bad news

Sorry Jeffery, Lee did everything she could but the vet said it was just way to late so they put her down on Mom. The guy at the shop lied to you. Her problems started at least several weeks ago, the vet guessed two months, I'm really sorry to tell you. Both you & lee did your best. Have a better Nrw year Laurie:(
